"Wherever you go and whatever you do,
May the luck of the Irish be there with you."
Today Jack and I are glad there is no St. Paddy's storm.....just a little rain to melt the winter away.
The two hand hooked rugs on display are our Pastimes PEI originals. The flowers is called Blooming Point - a beautiful village on the north shore of Prince Edward Island. The farm scene is from right down the road from here in China Point, also on the water, but on the south shore of Prince Edward Island. The homestead has been the same family for many generations.
Today I found an interesting website with Irish poetry...http://www.oldirishpoems.com/Poems.html; that's where I got the words of Jack's Irish message;.of course, I shortened it for him ..and you, but you can read and enjoy "Ireland' today from this site. I realize that the words are pretty small in the Irish picture so here they are again my short version of Desmond O'Grady’s verses:
It's a long way to Tipperary...
When you set out you must go alone.
There are no maps of the way to Tipperary.
Your only compass is your own heart. Trust that!
Some see their Tipperary clearly from the start...
It's a long way to Tipperary...
But all our hearts lie there.
